right called it a flat-chested architecture. It was basically of white rendered surfaces as for example, LeCorbusier’s Villa Savoir which I think Wright tried to one-up and brilliantly did so in the Fallingwater House at Bear Run. So whereas LeCorbusier’s building is a box, a cube, everything is contained, Wright’s is an explosion of form into space.—Robert A.M. Stern, Architect
