Towards Completion

Towards Completion

Work on the Big Dig is projected to be completed by 2005. When it is all done, workers will have excavated 14 million cubic yards of earth, enough to fill a professional sports stadium fourteen times. The total cost will likely approach $15 billion, up from the $2.5 billion (excluding mitigation) forecast in 1983.
