Allied Arts Council presented "Encore St. Joseph" as part of the city's millennium July 4th celebration. The St. Joseph Symphony, St. Joseph Community Chorus, and St. Joseph Show Chorus of Sweet Adelines International performed I Am St. Joseph, composed by John Bisharat. The piece celebrates St. Joseph as the jumping-off point to the Western frontier. The performance was preceded by other local talent and followed by a fireworks display accompanied by the symphony.
