A longtime member of Newark Beth Israel's medical staff, Dr. Brief served as its President from 1982-85. In his current role, he remains deeply involved in medical affairs, teaching and research at Newark Beth Israel. Dr. Brief joined Beth Israel's medical staff in 1964. From 1967-69 Dr. Brief served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and served as Chief of General Surgery at the 24th Evacuation Hospital in South Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star in 1969.
Kathy D'Amico helps patients and their families navigate the health care system smoothly, through their hospitalization and after they are discharged. This includes working with insurance companies and physicians to make sure the patients receive appropriate tests and treatments and that the medical center is reimbursed for care that is provided.
Ronald Del Mauro is responsible for the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, a statewide integrated health delivery system in New Jersey. He is also currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Clara Maass Medical Center, a system affiliate.
Peri Kamalakar is also co-director of the Comprehensive Hemophilia Treatment Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology, Dr. Kamalakar is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.
John Napoli, MD is the Director of Ambulatory Care Services at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey, and has been in private practice in Internal Medicine and Diabetes since 1979.
John Paredes is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the New Jersey Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
