Art: Bridging Differences

Throughout history, art has often served not only as a form of creative expression, but as a tool to bring people together. The students from the U.S., South Africa, and, Senegal in the Journey Towards Peace documentary differed greatly in opinion on issues of race and ethnicity, yet they all listened to American hip-hop music. While they listened and danced, all of the conflict seemed to disappear — at least for a little while.
