In September of 1933 Krug Henry, Bert Miller and Karl Twitchell came to
Saudi Arabia on behalf of the Standard Oil company to explore Saudi Arabia's
oil reserves. The oil they found would turn the family of King Abdul Aziz
from a newly re-established monarchy of a poor country into one of the
wealthiest and most powerful families in the world. The oil also created a strategic
partnership that continues to this day.
