The Louisiana marshes around New Orleans help supply us with more seafood than just about any other region in the country, as well as much of our oil and gas. But this vibrant and productive ecological region is slipping into the Gulf of Mexico at an alarming rate. Every year, a chunk of land nearly as big as Manhattan crumbles and washes away.
