Love your public lands? Get Involved with us! Join REI on Saturday, October 24 from noon-4pm at REI San Carlos for a fun afternoon of meeting community groups and leaders who steward our local parks and recreational areas. Find volunteer opportunities, meet other people interested in local outdoor areas and start giving back to the nature nearest you.
If you're inspired by the Ken Burns documentary about our national parks -REI can help you get involved in your local community. Free coffee and treats! Enter to win a DVD copy of the Ken Burns film, THE NATIONAL PARKS: AMERICA'S BEST IDEA and other prizes.
Representatives from the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council, Snowlands, Peninsula Open Space Trust, San Francisco Bay Trail Project, Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and more will be on site to discuss their organizations, volunteer opportunities and how you can Get Involved.
Workshops and film screenings will take place throughout the day. Stop by for some great activities for you and your family.

12:45pm: Bay Area Ridge Trail Council presents Adventures on the Ridge Trail
1:30pm: Snowlands presents "Ski Memories and The Original Mugelhupf Movie" and "The Lost People of Mountain Village"
2:15pm: REI Outdoor School presents "10 Essentials"
2:45pm: Youth Science Institute gives a wild animal presentation
3:15pm: Peninsula Open Space Trust presents a slideshow on your public lands
