Two tourists work their way up from the Colorado River to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, one mile up, on the Bright Angel Trail. The picture was taken by Ellsworth and Emery Kolb, two entrepreneurs who would have the photos developed and ready for sale by the time the tourists returned from their adventure.
