Virginia (Ginger) Garrison is a marine biologist/ecologist with the USGS Center for Coastal and Watershed Studies in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has been involved in a number of studies and individual research projects, including publishing a guide to the fishes of the isolated Cocos Island, the Virgin Islands National Park Coral Reef Restoration Project and various other studies concentrating on environmental and anthropogenic perturbations and emerging threats to coral-reef environments.
