Collecting Many Voices

The Many Voices project allowed us to take a broad look at the key issues defining congregational life in America. We travelled around the country and conducted interviews at 12 places of worship, ultimately talking with nearly 80 people. In this section, we share some of the interview material we collected, letting you see first hand what people think, feel and believe about their particular experiences and congregations.

The Many Voices project is meant as a sampling of voices and opinions and is by no means meant to be a comprehensive portrayal of religious expression in America. The places of worship we visited provide a start on what we hope will be a broader dialogue. We invite you to browse through the video clips in this section, hear the comments we collected in our interviews and then add your own comments.
