Newt: What’s Next? (aired 3/22/2001)
This week, Think Tank take sits down with one of the most important figures in the last decade of American political history, Newt Gingrich. Under his leadership, Republicans took control of the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. Along the way, Gingrich became one of the most loved and most despised of America's public figures. And while Gingrich left the House in 1998, his legacy remains. Republicans -- for the first time since the 1920's -- now control Congress for a fourth consecutive term. Think Tank talks to Gingrich about the politics of the last few years and of the years to come.

Think Tank is made possible by generous support from the Smith Richardson Foundation, the Bernard and Irene Schwartz Foundation, the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, the John M. Olin Foundation, the Donner Canadian Foundation, the Dodge Jones Foundation, and Pfizer, Inc.
