The 2006 mid-term elections are rapidly approaching, campaigns are swinging into high gear, and the gloves are coming off. This election season promises to be as heated as any with a closely divided Congress and a host of contentious issues. Several of the President’s 2nd term legislative initiatives such as immigration reform and private retirement accounts have stalled or failed. The war in Iraq continues to frustrate many Americans. Will voter dissatisfaction express itself in congressional races? Can Democrats win back either house? Does anybody know what will happen?
