1. GETTING STARTED Welcome messages As soon as you were assigned to a group, you should have received two email messages. One contains the bios for all the members who have been assigned to your group. The second contains lots of important information, including where to log in, your user name, and your password. (You chose your user name and password when you registered.) At the end of this message (we wanted you to read the whole thing!) is the URL (web address) you will need to use to access your dialogue group. The message itself reads: To enter
your dialogue group, go to:
If the url is underlined in your email message, you can click on it from there to access your dialogue. Your Internet browser should automatically open to the right page. Otherwise, you can click here. Bookmarks/Favorites Before you get started, you may want to save your log in page (and maybe even this page of instructions as well.) You can create a Bookmark (in Netscape Navigator) or a Favorite (in Microsoft Internet Explorer) that will save the url so it is easy to find. To create
a Bookmark, while viewing the page you want to save, click on "Bookmarks"
and then select "Add Bookmark". This page will be saved with the
title "American Love Stories -- Dialogue Group Help." The member
log in page will be saved with the title "American Love Stories -- Dialogue
Group Members Entrance." When you want to return to one of these
pages, click on "Bookmarks" and then select the page from the list that
appears.
To create a Favorite, while viewing the page you want to save, click on "Favorites", select "Add to Favorites" and then click "OK". This page will be saved with the title "American Love Stories -- Dialogue Group Help." The member log in page will be saved with the title "American Love Stories -- Dialogue Group Members Entrance." When you want to return to one of these pages, click on "Favorites" and then select the page from the list that appears.
