Published in the December 15, 1860, issue of Harper's Weekly, this image appeared with the caption, "Expulsion of Negroes and Abolitionists from Tremont Temple, Boston, Massachusetts, on December 3, 1860."

It is interesting to note that the writer of the caption refers to the meeting's attendees as "Negroes and Abolitionists" rather than simply "Abolitionists."
