The Hartford Public Library invites students in grades 9-12 to think about the future. But don't stop there; write an essay on the theme "How a future invention will affect or improve my life in the twenty-first century." All entries must be received by February 27, 1998. The winner will be announced on March 20, 1998.

On April 30, 1998, a panel from the Hartford Medical Society and The Connecticut Historical Society will discuss issues relating to matters of life and death.

On March 28 and 29, 1998, from 10am to 5:30pm, join CPTV for Family Science Day, presented by Duracell. This Expo will be held in the athletic center at Trinity College in Hartford. Interact with hands-on exhibits and dramatic live science entertainment. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. The Hartford Public Library's exhibit about magnetism is sure to draw you in!
