Location 2: Greenhouse

Problem: Plants are wilting in the heat
Task: Build a big greenhouse
Purpose: To teach kids about plants from around the world
Size: Medium (must cover 1/2 acre)
Budget: $10 million

Special Notes: "Kids are tired of looking at our giant cactus -- but it's the only plant that will grow in this scorching heat. We want kids to learn about all kinds of plants. With a dome, we can control the climate and grow all kinds of plants. Remember, greenhouse domes must be low to the ground -- they're not tall and skinny like the domes on Capitol buildings!"
-- President, Char County Botanical Garden

You think it's a great idea to build a dome over the Char County Botanical Garden. Now it's time to design the greenhouse. Will you build a ribbed dome, made from a series of arches? Or will you try a geodesic dome, made from a series of triangles?
