There are many way to keep track of time. Ask students to brainstorm various ways to record the passage of time. Why is it important to track time? How does time correspond to different seasons? Have students investigate and report on different calendar systems, such as Julian, Gregorian, Hebrew, Islamic, Maya, or Chinese calendars.
