Point 2: Prosperity is inextricably linked to global health, so it is in our interest to improve the health of developing countries.
Sound health is a prerequisite for economic prosperity, not simply a by-product of economic growth.
At minimum, economic prosperity requires:
- A physical infrastructure of water, sewer, energy, and transportation systems
- Affordable education
- A basic level of health and health care
