7 senators back 6-month extension of transportation bill

EEnews.net — A bipartisan alliance of senators agreed to extend the transportation bill by six months instead of delaying the bill until 2011. Seven senators sent a letter to Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., asking them to limit debate on the proposal.
