I applaud PACT for what they are doing and perhaps they could also help by teaching fiscal responsibility to those they help. Yes, banks offered ridiculous loans, but just because one is offered something ridiculous, must one accept it? If a person earns $50,000 per year, they must know that they cannot afford a $400,000 house regardless of what an unscrupulous realtor or mortgage lender tells them. The answer to this problem isn't to simply forgive all malfeasance and pretend it didn't happen - that makes the millions of hard-working homeowners who didn't fall prey to greed seem as if all of their efforts are for nothing. The answer is to offer help as PACT is doing, but also to work to ensure this doesn't happen again by providing education to those in need. Giving someone a fish feed them for only one day, but teaching them how to fish will feed them for the rest of their lives.

Congratulations to PBS for covering this important topic. The PICO National Network needs to keep working with faith based communities to address the foreclosure crisis. We are all effected.

The video puts a very real face on the organizing campaign, at least as much of it as was portrayed. I am simply amazed there isn't more pure outrage at the bankers and mortgage lenders, local and up the staircases in the banks, who knowingly took advantage of so many people who saw them as mediators of the american dream. Shame on them. All power to Raul and his family and all the people of PACT as you move forward to hold our government accountable.
