| Before my mother passed away
in 1995, she wanted to hand out the quilts that she had. She decided to
put a number on the quilts and then have the four of us draw a number. Our
numbers would match the number on the quilt.
I was priviledged to get the quilt she had gotten from her mother. This
is a friendship quilt with the names of my grandmother's sisters, sisters-in-law
and several nieces. This quilt was made in the 1920's and is in perfect
condition. I treasure this 'gift' as part of my inheritance and remembrance
of my very resourceful, ambitious, talented grandmother.
