The Challenges Ahead Slide 4

This site plan shows the footprints of the twin towers, where the 110-story skyscrapers once stood. Designed as the centerpiece of the World Trade Center Memorial, these voids will contain waterfalls that drop 30 feet into reflecting pools below. Commemorating the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, the memorial will cover six acres, including a park-like plaza at street level and an interpretive museum underground.
