Asia
Home to a number of valuable domesticable species, including cattle,
Asia is perhaps most importantly the home of the wild horse - the
most significant machine on earth before industrialization. First
achieved around 5,000-years ago, horse domestication was critical
to the global success of the Eurasian 'package' - allowing trade,
transport and conquest on an unprecedented scale.
