The
house was built with an improperly constructed loft. To remodel
the kitchen, Dean, Miriam and the Hometime crew will have
to pull some engineering rabbits out of their toolbelts. Then
they tackle the insulation, drywall and the first of the new
cabinets in this challenging kitchen project. Finallay, they
use a granite countertop and a custom, load-bearing upper
cabinet to keep a 1970's loft from drooping down onto the
new 2005 kitchen.
