Environmental health advocate Catherine Coleman Flowers is the founder of the Center for Rural Enterprise and Environmental Justice (CREEJ), where she works on multiple fronts to improve public health and economic development, including access to water and sanitation amidst the growing threat of climate change. Quiara Alegria Hudes is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and collaborated with Lin-Manuel Miranda on the Tony Award-winning musical "In The Heights." Hudes has also written a deeply personal memoir — “My Broken Language" — on navigating life as the daughter of a Puerto Rican mother and Jewish father in West Philadelphia. She gives us her Brief But Spectacular take on unearthing family stories.
