Teachers share fear, outrage about book bans on season three opener of PBS NewsHour Classroom's 'Educator Voice'

At the end of August PBS NewsHour Classroom launched season three of Educator Voice, a live monthly conversation with teachers and school staff across the country.

Sari Beth Rosenberg, who just started her 21st year teaching social studies in a New York City public school, returned in the host's seat once again. More than 60 educators attended from across the U.S. and Canada. The issue was back-to-school and what issues are most on educators' minds this 2022-2023 school year.

A group of dedicated educators stuck around and shared their takeaways from the evening with us. Here are their thoughts:
