Following the recent tragic shooting in a Tennessee school , educators from all over the country met on Zoom Tuesday to talk about gun violence, how it impacts the classroom and what steps teachers can take in response to tragedies like this. They were joined by Abbey Clements and Sarah Lerner of Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence , The Trace's public health reporter Fairriona Magee and host Sari Beth Rosenberg.
The event was part of NewsHour Classroom’s Educator Voice Zoom series and was attended by teachers and school staff from across the U.S. The series brings together educators to discuss important issues of the day and how they impact the classroom.
