PBS News Hour Classroom co-hosted a live Educator Chat last month with the Jacobson Institute, an entrepreneurial education center at the University of Iowa, on ways to teach invention and entrepreneurship.
Students and teachers gathered to discuss entrepreneurship and invention, sharing ideas from both perspectives on developing future inventors and how, sometimes, all it takes is one educator providing an opportunity for a student to run with their idea.
Check out the highlights featuring our co-host and director of the Jacobson Institute, Dawn Bowlus; student inventors and entrepreneurs Dasia Taylor and Amal Eltayib; and their teacher Carolyn Walling.
