Join PBS' 'Disrupted' tonight: How COVID changed the way we've learned and taught

Summary

It's been an incredibly difficult school year for millions of educators and students in America. Some had to put their education on hold and their health at risk. “Disrupted: How COVID-19 Changed Education” is a special from Student Reporting Labs — our youth journalism program for teens. The event TONIGHT at 7pm EST is free to the public, and you can register here . Student reporter Yeonseo Seok from Westview High School in San Diego, California, previews the special.
  • Tiffany Rodriguez stopped attending remote classes in the fall of 2020 so that she could work, and then she suffered prolonged health effects after becoming infected with COVID-19.
  • Her music teacher, Colin Sharp, noticed her extended absence and reached out to her.
  • Though she recovered and is attending classes and catching up, she still experiences fatigue and must do extra work to make up for lost time.
