Summary:
Early on in April, when the Coronavirus had just begun to take a toll on families, eight high school students spanned across the regions of Florida and (insert Charlotte’s location) shared how they had been impacted amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and what they had learned thus far.
- Teens Aileen Delgado, Daniel Gonzalez III, Kelly Sanchez, Rhobie Toussaint, Ajmaanie Andre, Charlotte Jons, Khimmoy Hudson, and Gabriella Licona took part in PBS News Hour’s #BriefButSpectacular contest, where they created videos in the style of the PBS Brief But Spectacular interview series.
- The contest took place on April 30th, having senior citizens spanned across the nation judging the teens’ inspiring entries
- Brief But Spectacular — a TV series founded by Steve Goldbloom in 2015 — broadcasts weekly on PBS NewsHour and features an individual in every short episode, allowing them to share their complex stories and personal ideas from their own point of view.
