New Obamacare Data Shows How Plans Compare by State

Click on an insurance plan category — bronze, silver, gold, catastrophic — to see how the costs in 36 states compare. These are the 36 states where the federal government will support or fully run the health insurance marketplaces in 2014. Click on the state to see further details.

NOTES ON THE DATA

All figures are based on a 27-year-old before tax credits are applied. According to the Issue Brief, premiums are a weighted average of the lowest cost plans in each rating area within a state. Weights are derived from county-level population under 65 years old, projected by the Census Bureau.
