Applications

 

Applications will accepted online at PBS.org/ngl starting on Tuesday, September 1 and ending on Friday, October 16, 2015.  In the application you will be asked for:

  • a resume that includes information about your education and media production experience
  • a brief narrative of your professional development goals including your experience or interest in public media, your career goals, and how receiving the Next Generation Leadership training will help you meet your objectives in senior editorial or content leadership. 
  • information about any personal experiences or history that you feel will help you contribute to leadership diversity in public media programming, such as your background, content interests, or past leadership training
  • a letter of recommendation from the public media station or organization that will partner with you for the NGL training.
  • a video, audio or multi-media copy of recent work for which you were a primary contributor or provided editorial leadership. The work may be submitted via URL in the online application, or you may mail one non-returnable DVD to Next Generation Leadership.  You may also submit URLs for additional information or work that shows your readiness to participate in NGL.

To be considered, your application must be filed online and any DVD must be postmarked by 5:00 PM Eastern on Friday, October 16, 2015

The due date for letters of recommendations is two weeks later, Friday, October 30. 

Selection of Fellows will be announced by Friday, December 11, 2015
