Ron Bowman

Ron Bowman has been producing and directing award-winning documentary television over the last 20 years for, among others, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, ABC News, PBS, A&E, Smithsonian World, The Learning Channel. His credits as producer, director and writer have appeared on numerous documentaries covering some of the most challenging subjects in science, history, culture and public affairs. With his long-time collaborator, producer-editor Lisa Fredrickson, they founded New Pony Productions, an independent film and video production company in Mendocino, on the north coast of California. Their work has been recognized with the highest awards for both network and cable programming, including the Peabody Award, two national Emmys, Gold and Special Jury Awards from the Houston Worldfest, the Cable Ace Award as well as numerous Emmy nominations.
