About the Producers
Rob Whittlesey
Rob Whittlesey has been making award-winning documentary films for 28 years. He's currently at work on the opening hour of Rx for Survival, a six-hour PBS series on global health slated for broadcast in the fall of 2005. Among the many films he has produced, directed, shot and edited are ten films for the PBS series NOVA, episodes for the WGBH-based science mini-series Evolution (Why Sex?, winner of two National News and Documentary Emmy nominations) and A Science Odyssey. Additional credits include films for the PBS series Frontline and Adventure and the critically acclaimed PBS special, Apollo 13: To the Edge and Back.
Rob has also been recognized with pre-broadcast awards for The One Degree Factor, Wildscreen 2004's "One Planet Award" and the "Best in Scientific Exploration" award at the 2004 Explorer's Club Film Festival.
Married with two daughters, Rob lives and works in Acton, Massachusetts.
