Temple Shalom (Congregation L'Shem Shomayim) has been a part of the Wheeling, West Virginia community since 1849. The current congregation was formed when two smaller jewish congregations in Wheeling, one Reform and one Conservative, joined to form one congregation when they were faced with dwindling membership roles.
