On this week's Washington Week:
Georgia election probe alleges perjury, and President Biden addresses the spy balloon mystery and economy. The special grand jury investigating former President Trump and his allies attempt to overturn the result of the 2020 election in Georgia has announced it believes “one or more witnesses” has committed perjury and that prosecutors should bring charges.
And, President Biden spoke about the shoot-down of the Chinese spy balloon, and confirmed the intelligence community’s belief the other three objects brought down were probably not related to spying.
Plus, as indicators supply a mixed assessment of the U.S. economy, President Biden continued to draw a distinction between his economic agenda and Congressional Republican’s plans to tie debt ceiling raises to federal spending cuts and a legislative agenda Biden says is designed to benefit the rich.
