Coming-up on this week’s Washington Week:

Debt standoff and border challenges. President Biden’s meeting with Republican and Democratic congressional leaders at the White House on Friday has been postponed. The meeting had been arranged after discussions on Tuesday ended with no breakthrough on raising the debt limit. And the White House is bracing for more fall-out from ending the pandemic era deportation policy, Title 42, as more migrant arrivals at the southern border strain packed U.S. Customs and Border Protection facilities.

Trump’s controversial Town Hall. Former President Trump’s repeated his stump speech lies on CNN this week for more than an hour. Hailed a political success by his campaign, press critics and reporters inside and outside CNN deemed it a journalistic failure that gave a platform to rampant disinformation. The former president also used the stage to dismiss his being found guilty on Tuesday of sexually abusing columnist, E. Jean Carroll.

Joining guest moderator, Laura Barrón-López to discuss this and more:

  • Dan Balz, Chief Correspondent, The Washington Post
  • Zolan Kanno-Youngs, White House Correspondent, The New York Times
  • Ali Vitali, Capitol Hill Correspondent, NBC News
