Coming up on Washington Week:

Debt ceiling deal. After weeks of brinkmanship, posturing, and negotiation the Senate is racing to pass the Fiscal Responsibility Act and get it to President Biden for his signature before Monday, when the U.S. could default on its debt for the first time in history.

GOP 2024 race for the White House gets more heated, and crowded.  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis kicked off his run for the White House this week by hitting the campaign trail and taking aim at the current front-runner, former President Donald Trump.  And, with two of Trump’s former allies - former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Vice President – announcing their own presidential bids next week, the attacks on Trump are set to ramp up.  But new developments in the special counsel’s investigation could complicate the former president’s re-election – and legal - strategy.

Joining guest moderator, William Brangham to discuss this and more:

  • Peter Baker, Chief White House Correspondent, The New York Times
  • Leigh Ann Caldwell, Co-Author, The Washington Post’s Early 202 and Anchor, Washington Post Live
  • Asma Khalid, White House Correspondent, NPR and Co-Host, The NPR Politics Podcast
  • Nikole Killion, Congressional Correspondent, CBS News
