Coming up on Washington Week with The Atlantic:
A closer look at President Biden’s achievements and challenges. President Biden is on his way to Asia, aiming to strengthen key relationships and counter China’s influence in the region by attending the G-20 gathering of world leaders in Delhi and by meeting with Vietnamese leaders in Hanoi. His trip comes after National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan warned North Korea would pay “a price” if it supplies arms to Russia.
Back home, Biden’s path to re-election is complicated by voters’ concerns about his age, and his son Hunter’s possible indictment at the end of the month. Some Congressional Republicans are also threatening impeachment.
With less than a year until the Democratic convention is expected to officially nominate Joe Biden to be the party’s candidate in 2024, Washington Week with The Atlantic takes stock of the Biden Presidency so far and examines the challenges ahead.
Joining editor in chief of The Atlantic and moderator, Jeffrey Goldberg to discuss this and more:
- Elisabeth Bumiller, Assistant Managing Editor and Washington Bureau Chief, The New York Times
- Franklin Foer, Staff Writer, The Atlantic, and author, “The Last Politician”
- Nancy Youssef, National Security Correspondent, The Wall Street Journal
