Coming-up on Washington Week with The Atlantic:

Democrats’ paradoxical week: Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia’s announcement that he will not seek re-election in 2024 capped a week for Democrats. Manchin’s news puts Democrat’s' control of the Senate at greater risk at the same time that polling for President Biden continues to decline. But there was good news for Democrats: they scored a number of victories in Tuesday’s off-year election, including swing state Ohio voting to codify the right to an abortion in the state’s constitution.

Joining editor in chief of The Atlantic and moderator, Jeffrey Goldberg to discuss this and more:

  • David Brooks, Columnist, The New York Times, and Author, “How to Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen”
  • Eugene Daniels, White House Correspondent, and Co-Author, Politico’s “Playbook”
  • Asma Khalid, White House Correspondent, NPR
  • Ed O’Keefe, Senior White House and Political Correspondent, CBS

Major funding for “Washington Week” is provided by Consumer Cellular, the estate of Arnold Adams, the Yuen Foundation, Sandra and Carl DeLay-Magnuson, Rose Hirschel and Andy Shreeves, Robert and Susan Rosenbaum, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS.
