Coming up on Washington Week with The Atlantic:
Trump Transition:
President-elect Donald Trump continued to announce more unconventional candidates to fill key roles in his cabinet, just as former Rep. Matt Gaetz, his most controversial nominee, has withdrawn from consideration for attorney general. Gaetz's announcement came as Pete Hegseth, another embattled hand-picked Trump nominee, was on Capitol Hill, meeting with Republican senators, and trying to shore up support for his nomination as secretary of defense. Hegseth is under fire amid new details of an alleged sexual assault in 2017.
We take a close look at Trump’s nominations and examine if they have the experiences needed to run the government’s most critical departments.
