Coming up on Washington Week with The Atlantic:

Trump’s Controversial Orders and Confirmation Chaos

In just his second week back in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump is forced to deal with a crisis not of his, or his administration’s, own making - the worst American aviation disaster in almost a quarter century.

The deadly crash is the first real test of Trump’s second term.  And it comes amid a week of chaos and confusion, after he signed a wave of contentious executive orders aimed at freezing government spending, remaking the federal workforce and sending undocumented immigrants to Guantanamo Bay.

Meanwhile, the president’s most controversial cabinet picks have undergone intense questioning during Senate confirmation hearings.

Joining editor in chief of The Atlantic and moderator, Jeffrey Goldberg to discuss this and more:

  • Peter Baker, Chief White House Correspondent, The New York Times
  • Mark Leibovich, Staff Writer, The Atlantic
  • Ali Vitali, Host of “Way Too Early”, MSNBC
  • Nancy Youssef, National Security Correspondent, The Wall Street Journal

Major funding for “Washington Week with The Atlantic” is provided by Consumer Cellular, the Yuen Foundation, Sandra and Carl DeLay-Magnuson, Rose Hirschel and Andy Shreeves, Robert and Susan Rosenbaum, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS.
