Coming up on Washington Week with The Atlantic:

Show of Force

While taking questions from a bipartisan Senate committee on Thursday, Robert F. Kennedy, the Secretary of Health and Human Services and leader of agencies responsible for protecting Americans’ health, angrily defended his record as Secretary, the recent firing of the CDC Director, his contradictory statements about the Covid vaccine, and the changes he recently made to the vaccine’s accessibility.

Meanwhile, the leaders of Russia, North Korea, and China gathered in Beijing this week, in a show of force that highlighted their strengthening alliance.

Joining editor in chief of The Atlantic and moderator, Jeffrey Goldberg, to discuss this and more:

  • Elisabeth Bumiller, Writer at Large, The New York Times
  • Leigh Ann Caldwell, Chief Washington Correspondent, Puck
  • Stephen Hayes, Editor, The Dispatch
  • Vivian Salama, Staff Writer, The Atlantic

Major funding for “Washington Week with The Atlantic” is provided by Consumer Cellular, the Yuen Foundation, Sandra and Carl DeLay-Magnuson, Rose Hirschel and Andy Shreeves, Robert and Susan Rosenbaum, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS.
