Absolute Immunity
The Trump administration this week sparked protests at home and abroad after it removed Venezuela’s president from power and defended an ICE officer who killed a Minneapolis woman. Undeterred by the onslaught of criticism, the administration doubled down, with Vice President Vance saying the federal agent is protected by “absolute immunity,” and the President reaffirming his interest in acquiring Greenland.
