I’m Robert Costa, and here’s what I’m watching in the week ahead. While President Trump is making his first foreign trip, I’ll be watching how the multiple investigations into Russia interference will be playing out at home. On the Hill, the House Oversight Committee has set a May 24 deadline for the FBI to provide any memos written by former director James Comey. Also, it’ll be Robert Mueller’s first full week as special counsel. How will he work with the other three Congressional investigations into the Russian election meddling? Keeping a close eye on Mueller who is so widely respected on both sides of the aisle. How does the Mueller investigation work with the Congressional investigation? What does Comey say when he comes to Capitol Hill? All those issues swirling as the president is overseas.
