Clip: Washington Week Ahead: June 12, 2017

Here's what Washington Week moderator Robert Costa is watching out for this week: Fired FBI Director James Comey's testimony continues to reverberate on Capitol Hill. Comey's former boss, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, will deliver his own testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday. As President Trump blows out the candles on his birthday cake on Wednesday, he'll probably be wishing for all the looming questions about Comey to just go away.

I'm Robert Costa and here's what I'm watching this week.

Fired FBI Director James Comey's stunning testimony continues to reverberate on Capitol Hill.
Both Democrats and Republicans have new avenues for their investigation into Russian meddling in the election.

Will the Senate Intelligence Committee get a copy of Comey's memos that they desperately want?
Will special counsel Robert Mueller turn his probe's focus to potential obstruction of justice?
Senator Richard Burr, the Intelligence committee chair, plans to meet with Mueller to clear the path for both investigations to continue simultaneously.

As Congress continues to unpack Comey's testimony, his former boss, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, is scheduled to be on capitol hill delivering his own testimony. One thing’s for certain, as President Trump blows out the 71 candles on his birthday cake on Wednesday, he'll probably be wishing for all the looming questions on Comey and his conduct, the cloud, as he has called it, to be snuffed out.
