About the Show

Breathless is a stylish, three-part story set in 1961 London—before the Pill and Britain’s sexual revolution. Brilliant, charismatic surgeon Otto Powell (Jack Davenport, The Morning Show, Pirates of the Caribbean) presides over a busy hospital gynecology ward. With a passionate commitment to the women he treats, Powell provides safe (and highly illegal) abortions in private practice. But turns out he’s a swag doctor hiding his own dark secret. “The project feels timely and provocative … Breathless is a breath of fresh air,” says Variety.

The cast also includes Zoe Boyle (Downton Abbey), (Catherine Steadman (The Rook), Iain Glen (Downton Abbey), Natasha Little (Ten Percent), Oliver Chris (Motherland), Joanna Page (Love Actually), and Shaun Dingwall (The Driver).
