The car companies are saying they make what the people want,
but, you know, the missing link in that is people don't know
what they want. People want things that they are told are good
for them and so, you know, there used to be a saying, "What's
good for General Motors is good for the country."
So, with that thinking, General Motors and the big car
companies can advertise whatever they want and they can
convince the American public that this is what you want. And
of course, this is exactly what they want then. So, this is
the tail chasing the—head chasing the tail, or whatever.
And what is important, however, is for somebody on a higher
plane to come down and say, "Wait a minute, there may be
something better that's better for you and that can move this
country towards getting itself off the addiction to oil.
And that's what we're working on here. The plug-in hybrid -
we'll transition ourselves off of oil onto electricity and all
the numbers work out. The electricity can support that
transition.
