Personally, I find the Iceland effort very exciting because
I'm a pro-technology person and I think that ultimately we'll
need advanced technologies to solve our problems. It would be
very, very difficult for us to address climate change by doing
with less, so I think we're going to have to have advanced
technologies. And it's exciting to see someone experimenting
with that, essentially saying, "We're going to try to go to
100%, you know, environmentally friendly energy system." And
we will learn from their experience. So we're going to gain
from this effort that they're making, so I'm very positive
about it.
We have to understand they're in a unique situation though.
They have vast amounts of renewable energy available to them
and a very small population. There's no way today we can do
what they're doing, but I think it's useful for us and it's
very exciting to see them try to make a sustainable,
environmentally friendly energy system in that country. So
that's my view.
